About "Pipeline"

Robin and Linda Williams wrote the original version of this song, We Don’t Want Your Pipeline in 2014, when they and their neighbours in rural Virginia were fighting the Dominion pipeline. They graciously allowed me to write new verses to fit the fight against the Kinder Morgan pipeline in British Columbia.

Pipeline was recorded at my Farewell Concert at Vancouver’s WISE Hall on February 18, 2018. Yes, I really have retired. Honest. I was joined on stage, and on this recording, by some of my best musical friends. What an honour. See credits, below.

It seems to me that many people east of the Rockies don’t get why we in BC are so riled up about the pipeline. I explain my own reasons in my video “Only one bear in a hundred bites but they don’t come in order”. Only one bear… went viral when it came on line in April 2017, and I like to think it had a hand, or at least a finger, in defeating the dreadful, pro-pipeline BC Liberal government.

If you like Pipeline please “like” it too, and please, please pass it on! When governments ignore people's wishes, rights and even their safety, we have to fight back using whatever means we can. This is my way.
