Here are some solid sources of information about the KM pipeline and the efforts to stop it.
For a short but effective video, I suggest my Only One Bear, or Nathan Cullen’s moving speech in Parliament. For an equally passionate, but longer and more detailed account, see Elizabeth May’s testimony to the NEB. URLs below.
To blunt wide-spread criticism of the National Energy Board’s skewed process, the Trudeau Government set up a ”Ministerial Panel” to hear people’s complaints. To the Government, it was window dressing. But the Panel paid attention to what it heard and produced a short, beautifully written report, ending with six questions that needed to be addressed before a decision was made. The Government, however, ignored the Panel’s findings and now embraced the NEB’s recommendations, despite having called the process “broken” before winning the election. Still, the report of the Ministerial Panel remains the best and most objective source of information about the pipeline project. URL below.
